CAIRO: State notary employees, in over 90% of the state notary offices in the governorates of Cairo, Sharqia, Fayoum, Asyut, Aswan, Kafr el-Sheikh, Menoufia, Gharbia, entered into a strike, Tarek Azouz, the head of the advisors of the State Notary Offices Club told Youm7 Saturday.

Azouz said the strike comes to protest the Justice Ministry’s neglect of their demands  for equality with other Ministry of Justice authorities.

“The strike will not prevent the offices from preparing the procurations for the upcoming presidential elections,” Azouz added.

Azouz criticized the deputy justice minister’s decision to form a committee in a month to discuss the demands of the state notary staff and said it would not solve the crisis.

“That is what made employees announce their one month long strike, until the formation of the committee, and the implementation of their demands,” Azouz said.
